to the official website of the World Filipino Martial Arts Association. WFMAA is the premier promoter of the Filipino Combative Arts in the world. Since 2003, WFMAA has been the leader in quality events earning world-class status. Its annual gathering, Kapisanan at Samahan ng mga Mandirigma (Brotherhood and Gathering of Warriors), better known as the Expo & Laban Laro, has gathered over 43 Grandmasters and Masters to teach and share their brand of FMA to hundreds of students and instructors from the United States, Canada, Philippines and Israel.
The World is welcome! WFMAA welcomes the opportunity for all FMA practitioners, students and instructors alike, especially those who are passionate and serious in bringing about a stronger brotherhood within the FMA community worldwide. In addition, we encourage those with like minds to continue their efforts in promoting for the betterment of the Filipino Combative Arts and its Culture.
World-Class Gathering This event is held annually featuring top FMA instructors in the world representing a variety of systems and styles of Arnis, Eskrima and Kali. A select group of featured instructors teach and showcase their fighting art in a 2-day series of training seminars. Students and instructors alike have an excellent opportunity to participate, meet, network, learn and experience authentic Filipino Martial Arts. Kapisanan at Samahan ng mga Mandirigma!
3-Days Event The WFMAA Gathering consist of two major activities: The EXPO 2-days training with top instructors and LABAN LARO Filipino Stick & Knife Fighting Tournament. The events include luncheons/dinner and the Awards Banquet & Ceremony. Filipino cultural dances, various performances and demonstrations are a typical part of the experience. Vendors, sponsors and exhibitors will be on site, selling and introducing their specialty products and services. An excellent opportunity to network with the best in the FMA!
An International Event Aside from the representations from Canada and Israel, WFMAA has earned respect and continued strong support from competition teams of the Armed Forces of the Philippines - Air Force, Army, College of Aeronautics (PhilSCA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP). We look forward to more participation from FMA instructors and students from other parts of the world. It is unlike any other. It's focus is our art, our culture and our brotherhood. WFMAA is an association without politics and egos. The association was founded on 2002 with the principles of trust, respect, honor, unity, loyalty, dedication and committment to the development of a stronger Filipino Martial Arts community throughout the world. I invite you to join our FMA Brotherhood!
The world is welcome to participation at all events! It is not limited to only FMA practitioners. Beginners to advance students and instructors alike are encouraged to participate and experience real Arnis, Kali, Eskrima!!! Mabuhay at Maraming Salamat Po!
